Casey Dakus

Casey is a native to Las Vegas, and a graduate from Las Vegas Academy High School. She is now currently in her senior year at UNLV where she majors in vocal performance. She has had the opportunity to perform numerous times with local opera companies, including with UNLV Opera. Her favorite roles have been Donna Elvira in “Don Giovanni”, Ophelia in “Hamlet”, and Euridice in “Orfeo ed Euridice”. She has also performed with other opera companies in the area, including Mrs. Sem in Noyes Fludde with Opera Las Vegas, and the Foreign Woman in Menotti’s “The Consul”, Berginella in “La Perichole” by Offenbach, the brother in Seven Deadly Sin Weill, and Adza in “L’etoile” by Chabrier with Sin City Opera. She was awarded 1st place in both district and regional NATS classical singing competitions, and most recently portrayed Blanche in UNLV Opera’s production of “Dialogues of the Carmelites”.
